Texas Floods Damaged Car

Hello all! At the end of May, our area of Texas (houston and surrounding) were hit with some devastating flooding. Unfortunately, our car was a casualty. While driving, we hit high flash flood waters and our car died in the middle of it on a bridge. We sat on the side of the road for 6 hours waiting to be rescued, and our car has been dead since. We've done several things to fix it outselves, including a new starter but it's not working. We've now reached the point where we need to go ahead and file it through our insurance and get it fixed. The problem is, we have to pay a 500 dollar deductable. Justin works part time as a cook for minimum wage and I work at a daycare, but a month ago my hours were cut from 10 a day to 5 a day and our bills and expenses haven't changed, so finding the extra money to save for our deductible is difficult. My grandmother has been letting us use her car to go back and forth to work but it's time to get ours fixed. Anything helps and is so appreciated. God bless you all.
