Yomi & Miguel's Fall Wedding

Donation protected
Hi Everyone!

On Thursday, June 25th our chapter sister, Yomayra Ruiz and her fiancé, Miguel Irizarry, came home and found that their house had been broken into while they were working. After searching for missing items they discovered that both of their wedding bands and the money that they had been saving up to finish paying for their wedding--approx. $3,500--had been stolen (along with both of their laptops).

This account has been established to raise funds in the hopes of allowing the future Mr. and Mrs. Miguel Irizarry the wedding of their dreams this September as planned despite this unfortunate set back. We are very grateful for any and all donations made to help us meet this goal. Your generosity is so extremely appreciated.

Your donations will be used specifically to replace their wedding bands and for any and all remaining wedding expenses.

More about the Bride & Groom:

Yomayra “Yomi” Ruiz** and Miguel Irizarry met and began dating almost 8 years ago while they were Undergraduate students in Newark, NJ--Yomi at Rutgers University-Newark campus, and Miguel at NJIT. Since then they have supported, encouraged, and loved each other unconditionally as they have grown together and continue to work hard to reach their goals. This past September (2014), on their 7-year anniversary, Miguel asked Yomi to marry him…finally!!! From then on they have both been working very hard to prepare for their special day. Everything had been going relatively smoothly until someone broke into their home, taking their wedding bands and all of their hard-earned wedding money. This has left them both feeling sad, violated, and hopeless. Though, despite this terrible setback, we still believe it is possible to make their dream wedding a reality. Both Yomi and Miguel are caring, hard working and kindhearted people, they deserve every happiness as they continue their lives together. Please help us give them this blessing!

**Yomi aka “UltraViolet” (#2) is an independent womyn of Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc. She emerged from the depths of the almighty royal blue seas in Spring 2006 at Trilogy Gamma Chapter. Our chapter was Lambda Tau Omega’s first metro-chapter (encompassing two campuses—NJIT and Rutgers-Newark) thanks to her and her linesister. To this day she continues to support our chapter and our organization as a whole, as wells as all of us individually as her lifelong friends and sisters.

Your messages of support and concern are all very much appreciated. We ask that you please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they work to get through this tough time and in the future as a married couple.
