Yoga Teacher Certification

In May of 2014, I started practicing yoga as a way to get in shape. By June, I’d fallen in love with yoga so much that I began to practice it daily. Yoga even helped motivate me to quit smoking cold-turkey, and because of yoga, I haven’t had any relapses. It has changed the way I see myself for the better and I want to help others experience this positive change as well. Yoga is my passion and I want to make this passion my career. I just graduated from college and because I am not currently planning to pursue a graduate degree, I want to teach yoga. I can only work at my current job until the end of the summer and I don’t want to be stuck in a dead-end job after I graduate. Through yoga I can help other people and have a job I am passionate about, which is why I want to become a 200 hour certified yoga teacher.
Due to the fact that I just graduated from college, my finances are tight and my ability to pay for my 200 hour yoga teacher certification program is limited. I will need to support myself financially after I graduate and though I will be able to save some money for my certification on my own, I am hoping to raise enough money to pay for my certification through the generous donations of others. My goal is to raise $3,000 for a yoga teacher certification course. If I am lucky enough to surpass my goal, any extra money I raise will go towards additional yoga teacher training courses or towards business necessities.
Yoga has given me a sense of direction. I truly believe that being a yoga teacher is my calling and that becoming a yoga teacher will allow me to leave a positive impact on the world. I want to inspire others to become the best versions of themselves through yoga and I can only do that by becoming a certified yoga teacher.
