Villagedeer Ottawa Hills Campaign

Villagedeer.com is a grassroots organization in Ottawa Hills, Ohio dedicated to maintaining our village as a no-hunting zone. We were created in 2009 to defeat an ordinance that would have allowed hunting of white-tail deer, and created unnecessary expense and cruelty without solving the problems of homeowners who experienced landscaping damage.
We won that referendum in 2010 and thought we had put the issue to rest. Five years later however, in spite of there being no change in deer population, deer-related incidents, or the overall demographics of the village, we are faced with another initiative to defeat. This time, proponents want to pass an ordinance to allow bow hunting in the village. We find this idea to be poorly conceived, unnecessary, and inhumane.
We are seeking funds to continue to provide free yard signs to our supporters and to continue to educate Ottawa Hills residents about the dangers of the proposed initiative. Please provide whatever financial support you can, and especially vote NO on this issue this November.
