India Volunteer Trip

Dear Friends & Colleagues

I'm travelling to India next week to visit some missions in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.
I'm trying to help the Dominican Sisters from Iolo, Prato, Italy, raise funds to buy desks, chairs, books and other school supplies for an elementary school in Samaladivi, a poor village in Andhra Pradesh.

Every day these Sisters- who run twelve missions in India- dedicate their time to the poorest of the poor, taking care of the lepers, the aged and the mentally ill and investing all their energy in the education of these children.

I've paid for travel myself so every euro raised -minus the fees charged by this website- goes to this project.

Cari amici,

Sono in partenza per l'India, dove visiterò alcune missioni in Kerala e Andhra Pradesh. Sto cercando di aiutare le Suore domenicane di Iolo, Prato, che hanno dodici missioni nel Paese e stanno raccogliendo fondi per una scuola elementare a Samaladivi, un piccolo villaggio nell'Andhra Pradesh.

Ogni giorno queste missionarie si dedicano ai più poveri, prendendosi cura degli anziani, dei lebbrosi e di persone affette da problemi psichici e investendo tutte le loro energie nella cura e nell'educazione dei più piccoli.

Ho pagato personalmente le spese per il viaggio, quindi ogni euro raccolto- meno le commissioni del sito- servirà a comprare banchi, sedie e materiale scolastico per i bambini della zona che frequentano la scuola e provengono da famiglie poverissime.
