Angela's Brain Tumor Cancer Fund!

Donation protected
Hello!! :-)

So. I have recently been diagnosed with brain cancer known as Oligodendroglioma. The tumor was found in my left parietal lobe (left side of the brain) about 6 weeks ago. It is currently a grade II (low grade) tumor and about the size of a golf-ball. This was discovered with two grand mal seizers I experienced recently and recurrent dizzy spells. I am currently trying to adjust to the anti-seizure medications my Dr.'s have put me on. This has been quite a struggle due to the fact these medications make me extremely tired and fatigue. It's going to be a VERY slow start getting back to work and my normal daily life routines.  So, what does this look like for me? Well, after meeting the great TEAM of Dr's have, they have suggested Surgery to get most of it but them will have to follow with Radiation and Chemo if they cant get all of it. Hopefully they do but if not, I still have a very long road ahead of me! I will be needing to have CT and MRI scans done every few months for the rest of my life to keep a close eye on this tumor and make sure it does not grow and spread, even after the surgery. My dr.'s are currently discussing a long term treatment plan!

So what does this all mean for me and why do I need your help? I am currently on driving restrictions due to my seizers until I am cleared from my Dr. which can be up to 6 months, so that limits my abilities to get around easier. Plus, It has been very hard for me to adjust to the seizure medications, which are a fairly high dosage which that is limiting my energy, short-term memory, and daily routine activities. I am trying to slowly go back to work as a hair stylist, but it has been very challenging and I realize it's going to be a VERY slow start. Treatments in the future may also set me back. This tumor is located in my brain, therefore even with treatments I may experience side effects. As my medical expenses progress and the fact that I am only working minimally it has already become overwhelming. This will be a life- long struggle including life- long treatments that are very costly.

This whole experience has been overwhelming for me and I am still trying to process it all. Life will be a little more challenging from here on out and I will have to take it a little more easy going forward. I am a very optimistic person and I will keep a smile on face and I am going to try to stay positive as much as I can through this whole process and live my life the best I can! I have always appreciated life, but even more so now! I am so thankful for everyone who has reached out to me so far. The overwhelming support you all have shown me through your concerns, thoughts, and prayers has touched my heart. I am so grateful and honored as well as blessed to be surrounded by such amazing friends, clients, family, and everyone else I have in my life! YOUR PRAYERS, THOUGHTS, and CONCERNS have been overwhelming and amazing! I THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥

All donations are greatly appreciated and will help me tremendously. THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!
