No Methadone in Monument!!

SPECIFIC PURPOSE: No Methadone In Monument DNC is a no revenue, no asset, no liability Domestic Non-Profit Corporation operating with a specific and sole purpose of acting as a financial support arm to engage legal and retain legal counsel in support of any efforts to prevent the establishment and operation of methadone dispensaries within 1,000 feet of schools, child care centers, churches, playgrounds, public areas to include public parks, residences, retail locations, restaurants, shopping centers, shopping malls, and any other location frequented by families and children of the Tri-Lakes Community.

Said corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code. To include Promotion of social welfare by organizations designed to accomplish any of the above purposes, or to lessen neighborhood tensions, to eliminate prejudice and discrimination, to defend human and civil rights secured by law, or to combat community deterioration and juvenile delinquency.

Upon the dissolution of the corporation, financial assets shall be distributed for one or more exempt purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code, or shall be distributed to the federal government, or to a state or local government, for a public purpose. Any such assets not so disposed of shall be disposed of by a Court of Competent Jurisdiction of the county in which the principal office of the corporation is then located, exclusively for such purposes or to such organization or organizations, as said Court shall determine, which are organized and operated exclusively for such purposes.
