Andrea's Medical Support Fund

We write this on behalf of our friend and loved one, Andrea Martino.  She has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, and will be facing surgery, treatment and recovery over the coming months.  While so grateful and humbled by all the love and good wishes she is receiving, she is also feeling overwhelmed by the financial challenges that are soon to face her.  Andrea works as a cook at Perkins School for the Blind with children who have a variety of special needs. She loves her job, all the students, and the staff that she serves daily.  She pours her heart into her work.  As of next week, Andrea will lose her income and will be responsible for the co-pays and medical expenses that don’t get covered by insurance.  She will be facing these mounting bills and absence of pay for months.  Many people have expressed a wish to help in some way, to offer their dear good friend a hand during a scary time, so this is an invitation and an opportunity to help a kind and loving person whose only job now should be to heal as well as she can from the disease she is facing.  Maybe, if we can help her through these difficult months, she will return to her job and those kids, healed, healthy, and open heartedly ready to jump back into the work she so cares for.  Andrea has a great team of doctors to meet her medical needs.  Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could relieve the financial burden she now faces, and give her the gift of peace of mind?
