On Sunday June 2nd Ayanna woke up in tears complaining of leg pain. She came into our (her parents) room and rested with for a little while, that day she could barely walk and didn't really want to play or eat but still acting like herself.
Tuesday she was still complaining and came back into the house after attempting to play. On wednesday she continued to complain about her legs and didn't eat much breakfast. I could tell in her face something wasn't right so I took her to Stat Care where she had a fever so they ran tests and did xray and sent us to Akron Children's because they thought she may have a bone infection. When we got to ACH they did more xrays, blood work, and an MRI. She was admitted from ER still thinking she had a bone infection. The MRI showed cells in her bone marrow that weren't supposed to be there. That test led to many others, ending on June 6th with a diagnosis of childhood cancer.
