Shed the Skin and Reveal the New and Improved Body Below!

Donation protected

After losing 191 lbs completely naturally and on my own, I am saddled with a large amount of hanging skin that impedes me from being able to wear the clothes that fit my new body.  The hanging skin also causes rashes and sores where it overlaps my clothing and undergarments.  I would LOVE to be able to get the hanging skin removed once and for all and to be able to show off the hidden healthy body that I have worked so hard to mold.  Any help that you could provide, would be GREATLY appreciated!

Here is my story:

On August 17, 2008, at 35 weeks and 6 days gestation, my son, was born through an emergency c-section.  I was suffering from Severe Preeclampsia, Cardiomyopathy, and Pulmonary Edema.  I went into respiratory arrest, nearly died, and was placed on a ventilator for three days.  I spent 6 days in the ICU and was finally able to hold my son for the first time on August 23, 2008.

I was 372 lbs on the day my son was born.  That was the heaviest that I have ever been.  At the beginning of April 2010, a close friend of mine asked me to participate in the 1st Annual Promise Walk for Preeclampsia 5K Walk with her since we had both been affected by Preeclampsia/HELLP Syndrome.  Without thinking about my current physical condition, I agreed to participate and when she left, I faced the reality of walking 3.1 miles in just 4 short weeks.  My husband and I began to walk every day and after the Promise Walk was completed at the beginning of May, I had developed a habit of walking every day.

I continued with my daily walks and began to research and change my eating habits- eventually eliminating all processed and fast foods.  As the pounds melted away, I noticed that my blood pressure also began to fall.  By August of 2011, I had lost 191 lbs and weighed 181 lbs.  At the beginning of 2012, my cardiologist deemed that my heart had regained all function and was actually functioning better than normal.  I was taken off of all heart medications!

Today, I enjoy jogging and walking, as well as riding my recumbent stationary bike.  I have also changed to a mostly vegetarian diet and I feel better than ever!  I am not on any medications and I am able to comfortably run and play with my 3 year old son.  I have also taken up a life of charity and giving back to others.  I raise money for the Preeclampsia Foundation, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and St. Jude Children's Hospital to name a few.  I have also started a blog website, called Move Your Body Transformation (http://moveyourbodytransformation.com/) and I am dedicated to helping others change their lives for the better.

The last phase of my transformation would be to remove all of the hanging skin from all over my body.  Since I was laid-off from my job of 10 years in June 2010 and was out of work for 6 months, our finances have taken a huge hit.  Additionally, my husband was laid-off of his job of 11 years in November  2011 and is currently still unemployed and seeking employment.   We are having difficulties making monthly household payment, so there is no way that we can afford to pay for the plastic surgery that I desperately want.

I am very reluctantly posting my story and my plea on this site.  I feel like I should be asking for money for others who are in "real need" instead of for myself.  However, a host of friends and family have encouraged me to try this avenue and ask for something for me.  If you have an extra couple of dollars, I would greatly appreciate your support!

Thank you!!
