Gordie's Celebration of Life

Today we are asking for help to raise money to give Gordie the Celebration of Life that he deserves. Gordon Hayner was a loving and caring husband, father, and friend  to many. He was the type of man that people aspired to be. After being unable to work due to his health complications, he and his wife Darlene had their struggles financially but that never affected who they were and are today. That being said, they were unable to pay their life insurance. So we are asking in great appreciation for donations to make his Celebration of Life take place. Gordon Hayner faced years of health issues. Prior to this recent hospital experience Gordie faced over 14 heart attacks, multuiple toe amputations, and countless surgies. Still, he got up every day and did what he had to do, never without a smile on his face, never one complaint. He loved the smallest pleasures of life and that was always enough for him. On April 20th, 2015 Gordon Hayner underwent open heart surgery. He then faced complications leaving him with infection, an amputated leg, and a sacrum ulcer wound on his backside.  Also having a previous history of Peripheral Artery Disease, kidney failure (causing him to  be on dyalisis for eight years), and diabetes, the odds weren't in his favor to make steps towards recovery. With this nightmarish ordeal that Gordie has bravely faced throughout these many years of his life, his will to fight through it all remained consistently strong until it was out of his hands. With that fight, he always had with him a strong sense of humor. The countless nurses and doctors that were there for him, found that he was more there for them. He was the one you would think would be needing the laughs and smiles, but he was always the one to be giving them. Gordie lost his valient battle on June 27th.  We are hoping that all who knew and loved him will donate so that he can get the sendoff he so well deserves.
