Spread the Naked Truth @ Fitness

Hello and Thank you for checking out my story and being a part of the Optimum Body Sculpting nation! I am continuing a movement I started a couple years ago when I first got into the fitness business to spread the Naked Truth about fitness, weight loss and nutrition.

As a breast cancer surviver and one of the few personal trainers reaching the world live on line, I have started this campaign to raise $2500 to upgrade my equipment to reach even more frustrated yo-yo-dieters in excellence. Would you consider helping? I am offering 1 week free access to my online workout program for everyone that gives before July 31st. Read more for ALL the details.

All around us there are mixed messages concerning how to eat, how to lose weight (but not fat), how to diet and how to workout. But there isn’t very much REAL information out there about how to really keep the weight from coming back, instead of just going on another diet and about how to workout to build muscle that looks sexy and hot—to keep aging at bay and obesity out of the picture. That is where I come in, to spread the truth and nothing but the truth. That’s my mission and I am so fortunate that you are here to help me carry it out.

I have always been healthy, worked in the fitness industry for years; as a manager, aerobics instructor, body sculpting and fitness coach and weight loss coach, then I was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer in 2011 and my whole world seemed to fall apart. How could this happen to me? Well, that lasted about a minute, I got over it and decided that cancer would not be the thing that took me out and instead figured out how to beat it. I did! After a double mastectomy, reconstruction, 6 rounds of chemo, and numerous surgeries, procedures, pricks and prods, I am cancer free!! Whoo Hoo! Now its time to finish doing what I started to do before. This is where you come in.

I started my fitness business in 2005 as a personal trainer, then I became a fitness coach. But what I didn’t realize is that the moment I put up my website, I went from local to global and found that many, many women (men also J) needed my help. But, I wasn’t able to help them because they were all over the place and my car would only drive so far. So, I started doing online training. I went through lots and lots and LOTS of online programs, websites and software that “said” they could do what I wanted, but I only would up paying out a lot of money with little results. Until, I took matters into my own hands and created my own online fitness portal and the OBS Weight Loss Coaching program. It was a little crude at first, but it got the job done.

My biggest hesitation about online training was that I am not there in person to coach, instruct and intervene, so I had to figure out a way to do that so that people who trained with me wouldn’t wind up getting hurt. After all, my motto is “No Injuries!” I figured out that if I made a video of each individual exercise and created an instructional voice-over; that would work to show the user the exact movements from start to finish. Because people learn in different ways, I also created written instructions for each exercise and put it all together with more detailed instructions to create entire workouts. Users can also download the workouts in PDF formats to take with them to the gym or their “gym room” at home. I shot the videos with a small, inexpensive camera, in my living room.

That was good to start, but now I want to take my business to the next level and I need a space, better video equipment and software to run the portal. I want to show high-quality videos in a space that is fitness-ready. Not to say my living room wasn’t, but if I am going to do what I need to do, I must present that image. Not a homemade image, but a professional one, with professional props and equipment. I also want to do better, higher-quality videos that can be shown on any device, anywhere and housed where they can be accessed by my members when, where and how they want to see them, without issues.

For all this to happen, I need a better video camera, with a remote mic, video software, a solo shot when I am shooting alone, a subscription to an online program to house the videos and play them back in all their glory, plus enough space on the server to do this, camera lighting equipment, a good mic for recording the audio and a rental space where I can shoot the videos.
