Lisa's Medical Fund

I met Lisa 7 years ago and she has become a sweet, dear friend to me. Recently she had a tragic series of events happen in her life. Three weeks ago she was diagnosed with a rapid growing cancerous brain tumor and she is in need of immediate surgery and treatment. Unfortunately where she lives in Melbourne, Florida, they cannot perform the surgery because she needs a specialist. They have sent her to North Carolina to Duke University where the best doctors are for her to have the surgery. This does not come free and although she has insurance, it will not cover it all. On top of the medical bills that she is accuring there is still the mortgage payment, car payment, lodging fees, other traveling expenses and expenses that we just all need to live as well as her being unable to work. On top of going through the toughest time in her life, she is doing it away from a great percentage of her loved ones back in England. Here is more in depth detail of what Lisa is going through in her husband Jon's own words:

"For those of you who know and love my lovely wife as I do, i have some unpleasant news for all of us.....
About 4 months ago Lisa did her test and came back with the positive result that we both wanted so much!
We waited for the 12 week scan before sharing our news. At 11 weeks Lisa miscarried.
As if that wasn't enough, Lisa developed an increasing pain over the next 4 days that led to her being admited to ER.
After 10 hours in ER, Lisa was admitted to Hospital with a Deep tissue abscess. Lisa had a minor proceedure to drain the abscess, followed by catheter draining and anti-biotics.
Everything went well for two weeks until the symptoms re-presented.
Lisa was readmitted to hospital and eventualy had a "minor" surgery to completely remove the abscess.
Several hours after the surgery, the anasthetic and other factors triggered a series of seizures and Lisa was taken to ICU and heavily sedated.
Cat Scans and MRI's revealed a swelling on the left side of her Brain, a Biopsy confirmed our worst fears. Lisa has a Grade 3 Astrocytoma. This is an agressive cancer tumor in the Brain. The Neuro Surgeon told us it was inoperable. I didn't beleive him! 
So, now we are in North Carolina, visiting Dukes University Cancer Clinic, where reputedly, they have one of the Worlds finest Surgeons in this specific form of Brain Cancer.
Dr Allan Freidman, reviews the records and the functional MRI and says yes, we will carry out Surgery this Thursday. WE ARE ALL SOOOOOO HAPPY!
But then it becomes apparent that Lisa has an infection and of course, they cannot carry out Brain Surgery and risk a possible infection of Brain that could Kill her.
Hang on, just opened a large can of Fosters.
But Freidman Dudemeister, contacts another Proffessor of all kinds of stuff and gets Lisa in front of him later that afternoon.
Now this Dude doesn't even deal in infections anymore, But he takes one look at what's going on and diognosis it.
Ok, the next 15 or 20 minutes are not pleasant in any way for Lisa,(and that is an  enornmass understatement!) but the infection is now being dealt with.
So, 3 Weeks from today, we are hoping/expecting for Brain Surgery that will save my Lovely Wife, Lisa Avri King's life!

I've never been very religous, but if anyone wants to say a prayer for Lisa, I love you!

Mostly, I know how much I love Lisa, so i have an idea of how much she is loved.
If you're religious, include Lisa in your Prayers, if you're not religious, say a prayer for Lisa Avril King anyway.
