NRG Studios - Sprung Floor

NRG Studios is a dance and cheerleading school located in Wollongong, NSW. Every week hundreds of keen children come through the doors to learn how to cheer, dance and tumble - recently the studio was hit with a big blow.
For almost a year NRG parents, students and teachers tirelessly fundraised to acquire an essential (but very expensive) new piece of equipment for students: A sprung floor. Sprung floors allows cheerleading stunts and tumbling to occur safely, and helps the children learn more difficult gymnastic skills for their cheer and dance routines. There were some very excited students and families when we ordered the floor and we thought that within a few weeks it would be delivered and installed.
To our shock, disappointment and frustration, the company supplying the floor took the money that NRG families worked so hard to fundraise (approx $12,000). They have indicated that they have no intention of refunding our money or providing the floor. It is only a matter of time before the company goes into receivership, and our solicitor has advised that there is little chance of getting any of the money back. The families within our studio worked so hard to raise this money and our cheerleaders and dancers are now heartbroken.
We have set up this GoFundMe page in the hope that people might donate a small amount of money to help us cover the cost of purchasing another brand new sprung floor from a different supplier. We are committed to keeping true to our promise of providing the floor for the benefit and safety of our young dancers and cheerleaders, and are going to work hard to make it happen.
