Benefit for Jennifer O'Donnell

Jen O'Donnell is a 29 year old mother of a 7 year old daughter who was diagnosed with a Grade 2 Astrocytoma in the right frontal lobe of her brain in December 2014, On December 18th, Jen experienced a new on set seizure that resulted in the discovery of the tumor. 3  weeks later she was at Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital in NYC undergoing a 6 hour "awake" surgery, in attempt to excise the tumor. Excutiating headaches and periods of slurred speech in the days following the surgery led to another surgery 3 days later. This time, to place a temporary drain to relieve a blood clot that had had formed. 3 days after that,  she was able to go home. In the months following she has had numerous follow up visits to NYC to monitor her brain.  She is currently under going chemotherapy and radiation in hopes to irradicate the small area that was still visible, yet stable, on her follow up MRI's. That is not with out side effects.
Jen was working part time up until this week, as the treatments are starting to exhaust her. We are planning a benefit on August 29th to off set costs of transportation and treatments for Jen, and for her friends that are unable to attend, we are setting up this page per the many requests. Please help Jen out during this difficult time in her life!
