On June 7 2015, Kasi’s life was all she had planned for; a brand new home, a family, and a future. On June 8, everything changed. A sudden loss of consciousness led to a trip to the hospital where she learned that there was something in her brain – a tumor. Not only did her life get turned upside down that day, but it also turned upside down the lives of her two beautiful children and adoring husband.
Now nothing will ever be the same.
On June 22, 2015 Kasi was diagnosed with anaplastic oligodendroglioma.
In addition to fighting brain cancer, she and her family are faced with many other uncertainties. How will their family adjust to her sudden disability? Who will step up to assist when Kasi just cannot? It’s too much for one family to bear.
We are asking for heroes to step up with The Heckmans in any way they are capable. If you can afford a monetary donation, it will be greatly appreciated. If you can donate your time, please indicate that too as we will be planning fund raisers. If all you can offer right now is your prayers, please pray as often as possible.
It is imperative that Kasi and her family know that they are not in this alone.
