Kenny Scarberry Medical and Relief

Donation protected

Last Monday morning June 15th, my cousin Kenny Scarberry was driving to work when he fell asleep at the wheel. He then crashed head-on into an oncoming truck. The picture is of EMS personnel attempting to free Kenny from the wreckage. After he was removed, he was airlifted to a hospital in Springfield, MO. He was seriously hurt, and after multiple surgeries remains in critical, but stable condition. Among his life-threatening injuries, he sustained multiple factures in both legs, a broken back, broken arm, lacerated liver, and other internal injuries. He will be transferred to another hospital on Tuesday June 23, where it will be determined if he has to undergo a leg amputation, and exactly what can be done with his back. He is FAR from out of the woods, and has an extremely long recovery ahead of him. Kenny is also a single father who has bills that any family has. His mother, my Aunt Shirley has also had to drop everything in her life to take care of him. The hospital in Springfield is over 100 miles from her home, and the new one will be close to 350 miles from home.  Family has helped with money for hotel a room the past week, but there are more needs than just that. Kenny cannot speak right now, and my aunt, who is the only immediate family he has other than his son, must be with him. She has had to put her job on hold, and has no money coming in either. The expenses of home, combined with the expenses of being so far from home and no income for either one has placed an extreme hardship on their family. Any donation to help them during this ordeal would be a blessing and greatly appreciated.
