Help Free 7 Families from Detention
Donation protected
After more than 9 months of being jailed, seven refugee families have now been told they can leave the Karnes Family Detention Camp if they can post bonds ranging from $7,500 to $10,000, and totaling over $60,000.
These families are now only being granted a bond after a tremendous public campaign to have ICE in Washington D.C. reverse its previous policy of denying bonds to children and women who had previous deportations.
These seven families have all fled immense violence in Central America. They all have children who are suffering while detained, to the point that many of them compare the violence they faced back home to the trauma they are now suffering, here in the United States.
These are refugee families; instead of the United States respecting them as refugees they have been jailed and are now only going to be freed if they pay yet another ransom.
We need your help to bring justice to these refugee families; please donate what you can and all proceeds will go to the Family Detention Bond Fund.
