Get Paused is a memoir. A story told through Sarah Prescott’s photograph’s and words how a brain tumor and stroke transformed her life and therefore her art.
Sarah Prescott is a self taught photographer specializing in abstraction. Prescott has an innate way of interpreting damaged or overlooked objects and revealing their beauty.
JumpstART Project
In February of this year, I was selected to participate in the East End Arts JumpstART program. The JumpstART curriculum is an intensive, six-month program designed to teach artists, in all fields, the path to making a living through their art. One major mission of East End Arts is to use art to attract new business and visitors to the Town of Riverhead and to include the Arts in the economic growth of the entire area.
On August 7, my art project, Get Paused, will make its public debut in down- town Riverhead. I will erect a 12-foot movie screen and project images from my photographic memoir, Get Paused. A pop-up gallery displaying the images will be created as well.
