Who is Gene Mummert? Why do we have a Gofundme account in his honor? Most of you know him as GOBB; he is an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, a father, a friend, an open ear after a long day, a helping hand in your toughest times, and a jokester with a heartwarming-earth shaking-belly laugh in your saddest times to keep your spirits up..... and now he needs YOUR help.

The details:
My daddy was diagnosed with lung cancer in May 2015. We have confirmation that it has spread to his liver and brain. He has endured many blood draws, the insertion of a port for chemo and future blood samples, MRI's, and CAT scans. He has a PET scan scheduled to check for any further signs throughout the body but for now the Dr's are attacking what we know. He has 3 rounds of Chemotherapy which consist of 3 days back to back  chemo sessions with a shot on the 4th day to boost his white blood cells. He has officially completed one round. He will have 3 weeks between each session. During that time he will be going through radiation on his brain. We are unsure at this point how many radiation sessions he will have.

We appreciate your support in this diffiult time. His spirits are high, he is doing great with his treatments and we cannot wait to kick Cancer's A**!!!
