Summer Fun for Deserving Youth

Hello,
My name is Andrea President and I am the Co-Site Manager of the Digital Arts and Culinary Academy (DACA) in Oakland. We have started a fundraiser for our 2015 Summer Day Camp participants to go on a trip to Great America. But, before I get into that, please allow me a moment to tell you about DACA.
DACA is an After-School and Summer program for youth 12-16. We mainly serve East Oakland at-risk youth and other deserving youth throughout Alameda County. 90% of our youth attend via scholarships provided by grants and other generous donors. We teach our kids how to grow food in our urban garden, cook restaurant quality, healthy meals, and how to express themselves through music & video production.
For the past few years our participants have asked if we could do a field trip to Great America, but we never have the funds to go. This year we would like to make their wish come true. After crunching the numbers for tickets, food, and transportation, the total cost will be $1,200 for 30 members. So far we have raised $300.
