Tucson Herb Store Move

Donation protected
We are moving the shop!
We are moving 1 & 1/2 blocks south towards the 4th Avenue Underpass into the Casa Libre building. It's gorgeous in there! We will have a courtyard with Yerba Mansa growing, our showroom filled with all of the usual bulk herbs and our many handmade herbal products, as well as a new treatment space for herbal consults, acupuncture, massage, and classes! We are very excited! We are looking for a little financial support to help with the move, and to afford a big beautiful hand -painted sign to go outside so you all can find us. If you are a long time customer who really appreciates us being around, or anyone else that loves what we do (we love you too), please take a minute and donate a few bucks to our cause... and get some of our awesome rewards. This is the new space:
WHY ARE YOU MOVING??
I know... the spot we are in right now is so convenient!

Our shop has really grown a lot in recent years. We opened up in 2003 in a little 550 square foot space around the corner from our present shop- on 7th Street. For those of you that remember, it was a quaint little space with wooden floors. Then,  in the summer of 2007 we had the opportunity to move onto 4th Avenue which was a big break for us. Our business nearly doubled, and our operation started to feel like a real community space that people knew around Tucson to get herbs and herbal guidance. Another big difference I have seen over the years is the growing acceptance of Herbal Medicine. When I started the shop back in 2003, it was hard to convince the average passerby that we weren’t some kind of  special “herb” dealer. Now, it's amazing  people from all over have begun to embrace natural methods of care to support their well-being. I couldn’t be more happy about this, and I hope that the Tucson Herb Store has planted some tiny seed of hope out there towards this cause.

As our shop has grown, there are certain aspects that have become much more demanding to keep up with. We make most of our products, wildcraft many of our own herbs, and provide a staff that is helpful and supportive in guiding the public with finding the products that they need; all at a very reasonable cost! Providing herbal care at a reasonable cost has always been an aim of the shop, as we believe in providing an accessible resource to the community. As we have gotten busier with customers (yay!), it has been challenging to keep up with the demands of the shop!

One of our solutions is to offer affordable consultations for your herbal questions.  It is amazing how taxing it can be on a busy day to ring up our customes on the register, make tea, fill jars, make salves, answer phone calls, do the dishes, AND field dozens of questions about people's health and herbal medicine. It sure can be fun, but it is hard work. One of my employees tells me it can be more stressful than waitressing! So we have decided for those of our customers that need more then a few minutes of help at the counter, or custom formulations, we will now offer specific hours for these services and affordable consultations for your many health related questions. This will help us to keep prices affordable, while at the same time helping us to take care of ourselves and our buisness! Our new space offers an onsite private room for acupuncture, body work, and herbal consults by licenced professionals. We are very much looking forward to our move  & continuing to serve our much loved community.
