Camp Chenaniah is a home away from home where many kids aging from 7-17 come and stay during the summer. Camp Chenaniah is a non-profit Christian organization summer camp. It is a place where campers can relax, have fun, be surrounded by friends, and learn and grow in God. Many of the campers have grown up at Camp Chenaniah and continue to return every summer.
This camp is family owned and runs solely on love and faith of camp, and everyone involved. Each week a different group comes in to run/coordinate camp for all of the campers. ALL of these people are strictly volunteers and take time out of their busy lives to give these kids/teens a safe and fun place to stay during the summer. Please, if you cannot donate your time, any donation amount will help camp be a success which will make a difference in so many kids lives.
Camp Chenaniah acts not only as a summer camp but also as place of refuge for many of its campers. I asked a few of the campers to tell me what Camp Chenaniah is to them, this is what they had to say…
“It's a great way to connect to god and on top of that you're having a ton of fun! Like crudwar. It’s a great way to bond with people by spending up to 1-4 weeks with people you can make new friends and get close to people and everybody there is really friendly.”
“Camp for me had always been an... Adventure. Camp Chenaniah is a bible camp that anyone from 7 years to 17 years old can attend although I've been going since I was five. …. Camp has formed me into who I am today. I have gone through a lot this year as well as a lot of the camp goers. We have lost six people were close to many of us who we lost in the last year, two being campers themselves. The easiest thing to do for any of us is to talk to our camp counselors. And that's exactly what we plan to do. This year is my last year and I plan to make it the best year I possibly can.”
