6/13/15- My husband Randy a father of three, two girls 5 and 7 and one boy 5 months olds. Was hit by a car and while crossing the street and sustained serious injuries that has left him in critical condition.
He broke both legs, severed an artery in his left leg, has a broken collar, has bleeding to the brain in mutiple places, as well as damage to the brain stem, he has a fracture in his back which will require surgery, as well as a liver laceration mutiple facial lacerations and road rash. Not breathing on his own, has brain swelling.
6/14/15- They replaced the severed artery in his left leg with a vein from his right. The put rods in both legs (temporary fix), the set his broken collar bone and they repaired some facial lacerations. They also put in a bolt to measure the swelling in his
6/16/15- They have taken him out of the medically induced coma, he still has not opened his eyes or moved. The fixed the muscle in his legs as he has compartment syndrome. Still has swelling in the brain.
6/17/15- Still has not opened his eyes or mover his body besides some coughing. Found fluid in his chest cavity near right lung, possible pneumonia. Oxygen stats dropped from 100 to below 70. Was not stable enough to go to suffer to receive a trach or feeding tube. Been put back on sedation .
