18 South Youth Center Water Damage

18 South Youth Center provides a positive, safe environment for the next generation of Red Lion, PA, to experience desperately-needed encouragement, build healthy relationships, encounter spiritual enrichment, and receive direction towards the best possible path for their future. Our center, located at 18 S. Pine St., serves an average of 95 local teens per month and has influenced more than 900 teens since its doors opened in November 2007.
In May of 2015, we noticed water seeping from the tile in the kitchen at 18 South. Further investigation led to the discovery of a pool of water underneath our large, built-in refridgerator. As we removed the damaged flooring, we quickly realized the damage was extensive. Our insurance quoted the damage at $4,500, which leaves us with an unexpected $500 deductible. We need the help of our community to raise the deductible so that we can continue to build the future of Red Lion one teen at a time.
In addition, we are seeking $250 to cover the cost of a dehumidifier for the basement of our facility, where our teens greatly enjoy playing pool. The lack of a dehumidifier has caused the basement flooring's paint to peel and the concrete to crumble over the years. We hope to purchase new flooring for the basement at the cost of roughly $250.
These three needs bring our total to $1,000, plus the fees for running this campaign. Thank you so much for considering supporting our work.
