Hey guys! I hope all is well and you are enjoying your summers! The boys house in Maine racked up a pretty hefty fee and we need to figure out how to divide the charges. I know some of you have come forth and said you caused some damages but we still have a lot that needs to be covered.
The following are the charges that need to be paid for:
1. Floor 1 carpet soaked with beer and other alcohol, carpet replace $3,641.27 (Classic Flooring)

3. Floor 3 carpet, must be commercially cleaned $1,200
4. Floor 2 Area rugs replace
a. dining room 12 x 15 w/pad $485
b. living room 6 x 9 $175
c. great room 6 x 9 $175

7. Cleaning: floors, washing all walls, trash, stain removal stone fireplace, washing bedding, kitchen, bathrooms, all common areas (every room required severe additional above the norm) 3 people, 3 days $2,260
8. Floor 2 sectional couch, foot hole in couch, spill stains, replace $1,800 + tax (Macy's)
9. Air hockey table soaked in alcohol - replace $1,116 (Skillful Vending)

11. Lattice 3 sections burned in fireplace 15 x 3 = $45
12. Beds - replace:
a. Queen 1 box spring $350
b. Twin 3 box springs 150 x 3 = $450
c. Twin 3 frames 30 x 3 = $90

TOTAL: $15,272.27 less $1,500 deposit = $13,772.27 balance.

I understand this number is very high. If you know personally you caused one of these damages please come forth and take responsibility. I have talked to some of the girls and we have come to a generally consensus that we will help out with the cleaning fees. If no one comes forth to pay the damages, we unfortunately will have to charge the same amount to everyone.

In an email from the renter he stated the following,
"In summary, as already stated, we are very disappointed to have to go through this process with college graduates. We certainly expect more from young adults and potential leaders, at the very least we would expect a letter of apology from those involved. The above figures do not include our personal time required to organize, manage and oversee the cleanup effort."

I don't want to seem like a bitch about this but we need to get this resolved as quickly as possible. Thank you all in advance for your cooperation and on a more positive note it was one of the best weeks!!
