Wolf Puppies

Wolf Mountain Nature Center is a non-profit wolf sanctuary focusing on public education about the wolf and his cousins, the coyote, and the Arctic Fox. The current wolf population in the United States is in critical danger, facing obstacles such as delisting from the endangered species  list, habitat loss, and facing its fiercest predator,...man! 

Wolf Mountain Nature Center provides a safe environment for wolves to exist in peace while we educate the public about the beauty of these animals and their crucial role in a balanced ecosytem. We also provide education about the environment in general as well as alternative energy sources. Currently we have eight pure grey wolves (as well as six Arctic fox and five Eastern coyotes). Our wolves currently range in age from 4-12 years of age (average life span for wolves in the wild is 4-8 yrs.). To maintain a healthy pack dynamic, we absolutely must integrate young wolf pups to the packs, however, our wolves have been partially spayed and are unable to reproduce.

Securing 3-4 pure wolf pups is the focus of our "Go Fund Me" campaign. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization fully accredited, licensed by both DEC and USDA and receive NO funding from either, nor do we receive funding from any corporations, philanthropists, etc.. The cost involved with securing the wolf pups, transporting them from across the country, veterinarian bills, and paperwork runs about $2000-$2500 per animal! Therefore we are reaching out to the public to beg you to please support us in helping to obtain wolf pups so we may continue to have healthy wolf packs and to continue to do our part with wolf preservation and public education.
