Hey,
Firstly thank you for taking the time to read this...and hopefully there will be another huge thank you at the end!!!
The reason I started this gofundme campaign is this.
I have recently taken on the joyful role of becoming manager of my son Koby's Bovingdon U7's (soon to be U8's)
Next season is our first season and we are all excited.
While planning things for next season, the looking of kit was on the list and to my surprise it turned out to be very expensive.
But I didn't want these kids football journey to start of with an old hand me down kit.
Also I wanted the kids to have a tracksuit so they look like a team and feel like a team when arriving to games.
Plus I didnt want the parents to put their hands in their pockets anymore than they have to.
I look back the begining of my football journey and think that if my mum and dad had to pay for anything other than boots and subs then I wouldn't of carried on for long.
I don't want any of my team to have to have their journey stopped for the reason of expense.
So I took to securing a sponsor..
I realise that asking a local business for that amount might be a bit to much so I went bigger companys local to me and offer them a chance to get some good PR by sponsoring a local kids team for an amount which would be a drop in the ocean to them.
A few replied but other have just blanked it and I'm talking about 20 no replies.
It is very frustrating to say the least, so with the clock ticking someone suggested this as they themselves have done it and it worked.
So I asking for donationions to help my Bovingdon Thunder U8's start their football journey on a good and positive note.
The money will go towards match kit, training kit, track suit and training equipment for the season.
