Where Love Grows: Nourish.

In December 2012, Victoria "Vicki" Anzalone had a life-changing visions-- to one day end childhood hunger. Vicki started Where Love Grows as a traditional family dinner with an open invitation to those in the community who needed a meal. Initially, she planned on hosting one dinner per year, but everything soon changed when Vicki discovered Tampa Bay's startling child-hunger statistics.

According to Feeding Tampa Bay, Tampa's largest food pantry, roughly 1 in 4 children live with food insecurities. For Vicki, hosting the dinners wasn't enough. Shortly after, Where Love Grows' afterschool mobile cooking classes became an additional resource for children who wanted to learn to cook.


One of the most beneficial opportunities to offer children is access to resources that help them grow and realize their potential. Unfortunately, as they get hungrier to learn more and more, many are also suffering from childhood hunger– leading to devastating consequences on their future.

Florida is ranked 8th in the nation for prevalence of food insecurity in those under the age of 18. In Hillsborough County alone, over 11,000 children are susceptible to going to bed hungry tonight. Where Love Grows fights to Nourish as many kids as possible to get the food, life skills, and support they need.


For every $5 donated, one child is fed. Where Love Grows and Ad 2 Tampa Bay have come together to create the Nourish. campaign, which strives to help kids in Hillsborough County overcome childhood hunger by filling plates and fueling minds.
