Wilmer Gonzalez and Family

Wilmer Gonzalez came to Kindersley Saskatchewan in 2014.  Since this time Wilmer and his famlily have become contributing members of our community. Wilmer is always will to help in any way that he can.  He was nominated for the snow angle award in the town of Kindersley for shoveling snow for community members around town.  He has been employed by the Kindersley Integrated Health Center as a Maintenance Service Worker since December 2015 and also employed with the Salvation Army.  

Wilmer and Vanessa are always available to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it and now they need our help!

On July 20, 2017 Wilmer's work permit renewal application was denied.  On July 21, 2017 Wilmer met with immigration and they have told him and his family that they must leave the country and return to Venezuela by August 26, 2017.  

Venezuela is in the midst of a political strike.  The people have been told to stock up on food and water for the next 3 days and to stay out of the streets.  It is extremely dangerous and not a place we should be sending a family.  

Wilmer is currently working with Edge Immigration from Saskatoon to apply for Permenant Residancy.  However Wilmer and his family will have to leave in order for us to proceed.  The cost for the paperwork is $2000, cost to leave the country will be approximately $5000, cost to get back is unknown at this time.  As you can see it is a large amount of money in a very short period of time.   At this time we are raising funds to help with the cause.  All fundraising activities will have the funds transfered throught the go fund me account and Wilmer and his family will have access to the funds.  We appreciate all donations made towards the cause and thank each and every one of you who donate or who have donated in the past.  

We continue to move forward and will fight for this amazing family to come back to us here in Kindersley!
