Hey you all know my good friend Whitney/Ruthnie who came here from Haiti after the earthquake, right? Well, FINALLY after all this time she is letting us do a little fundraiser for her. FINALLY! Here is what she had to say:
"Hello ladies/gentlemen and awesome folks. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. I honestly do not know what to write as it is my first time doing this.
Since I’ve been in this country, I’ve always found help somehow. This time I needed to request it myself because I am in great financial need. As some of you may know, I lost my two legs following a natural disaster not too long ago. I am trying nonetheless to become an awesome pediatric nurse, who will eventually be able to put a smile on kids’ face and become an awesome iron lady.
Well, I’m already an iron lady in every sense of the “term” because I’m half bionic after all. My point is, I need some financial help because I will soon be entering my first year of nursing (ie my clinical year) and I have most of my tuition and fees covered but I still some fees and and help paying for my transportation and other school-related expenses. So if you could find it in your heart to just help me in this great time of need, I can assure that I will work my best to make that dream of mine come true.
And who knows, maybe one I’ll be able to save a child that’s in the same situation that I am right now. Rest assured that your good deed will somehow be repaid.
