Hello there, my name is Camber. I am from Lawrence, KS and I have recently been accepted into the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World in Orlando.
I am a community college student with two jobs and I have applied for this internship three times in the past and this time I finally made it through. I never lost hope that I could make it in!
The program fees were a little much, $350, and my mother graciously helped me pay those. I appreciate her to the moon and back for that. But, we have to drive from Kansas to Orlando, stay at a few hotels on the way and also I have to be able to provide for myself for the first three weeks before I get my first paycheck through Disney.
The program director encouraged us to bring $500-$700 extra in order to pay the first few weeks of rent and get groceries and what not. Rent is about $110 a week.
I would really appreicate the help towards my goal, this is one of the biggest opportunities that I have ever recieved and it is the jumping off point for the rest of my life. I plan on permanently moving down to Orlando to pursue a full-time career and education within Disney and UCF.
