“If you can’t fly, then run, if you can’t run, then walk, if you can’t walk, then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”- Martin Luther King Jr.
                             Wheels for the Amazing AJ
AJ is a young man who has just successfully completed his first year of college with a 4.0 grade point average. He loves and cherishes his family and friends.  He has a great sense of humor and makes people laugh despite some of the challenges he faces on a daily basis. AJ is dedicated towards his studies. He is self-motivated, disciplined, and hard- working. He is determined to be successful and believes that one day he will land his dream job of being a sports agent. He enjoys playing video games, but most of all he loves watching Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim baseball, which is his true passion. AJ’s favorite players are CJ Cron and Mike Trout who play for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

AJ attended Chino High School and he graduated with honors in 2014 with an overall grade point average of 3.6. He earned straight A’s during his junior and senior years while taking honors and AP coursework. AJ was a member of the Renaissance Club (Celebrating Academic Achievement) for his junior and senior years and he was a member of the Christian Club for four years. AJ has a spirit that is welcoming, friendly, and caring. This made him one of the most popular students at CHS. As a senior, AJ won the pageant and was crowned Mr. Chino High.

In the future, he plans on continuing his education at the University of California, Riverside where he wants to graduate with a degree in Business Administration. AJ then wants to attend law school at the University of Southern California.

AJ’s entire family works as a well-organized team to make sure that AJ is where he needs to be to achieve his goals. AJ was born with a rare form of dwarfism that affects his entire skeletal system. On a normal day when AJ is required to attend school, his father is required to physically pick him up and put him into a non-accessible vehicle. Once at school, his father has to remove his old wheelchair, which has already been dismantled into three pieces, from the non-accessible vehicle. His father then has to put the wheelchair back together. Once the wheelchair is operable, his father has to physically remove AJ from the non-accessible vehicle and place him into the wheelchair. From this point on, AJ attends class with his father following as a Personal Care Attendant.  His father has to work the graveyard shift to be with his son during the day.

AJ believes in God and he believes that God brought him into this world with a purpose (Proverbs 3:5-6, Jeremiah 29:11). AJ knows God is in charge of his life (Isaiah 26:4). He knows God is giving him direction (Isaiah 58:11) and he knows God is going to put him in a place where He wants him to go. Even though he has a disability, AJ knows he can do anything through Christ (Philippians 4:13).

It order to continue to reach his dream of completing his education and being independent, he is now in need of a special vehicle that would provide him with greater mobility and keep the family safe from injury while trying to lift him in and out of his wheel chair.
*UPDATE*    A huge “Thank you” to all of you who prayed for AJ and his family and contributed to the “Wheels for the Amazing AJ”campaign.  We know that God is in control of all things and he knows what car AJ needs. The original car, Honda Element, was sold yesterday 8/28/15. We are now trusting that God will provide AJ with a Honda Odyssey which is a state approved vehicle.  The car costs $35,000 (including tax and registration fees). If AJ purchases this car, the State of California will pay for the conversion of the van which is $27,000 to make it wheelchair accessible. Please join us in praying for a miracle for the Amazing AJ. We are seeking donations from our community and all over the world to cover the difference in the cost of the vehicle which is approximately $35,000. Please contact us  if you have any questions.

Please assist us in purchasing the approved vehicle for this amazing young man.
