Alexa McCowan Debut EP

Hey family, friends, fans,

I am Alexa McCowan,  I want to be the next singing super star and what’s more I believe I will be.  The next step for me will be recording and releasing a EP (Similar to a album only it will have just 4 to 6 tracks) More about that later but first a bit more about me.

I am 12 years old, I am the second youngest of 7 children. I will be starting 7th grade in August - Scary huh! I have been in the French Immersion program at my elementary school for 5 years and now speak fluent French as my second language.  I received the Presidential Education Excellence Award at graduation from 6th grade earlier this month. I am a strong supporter of anti-bullying and work hard to always be a friend to everyone. I guess it is my mom's influence on me but I always try and stick up for the "less" popular kids -it is something I believe in. My dream is to attend Yale Law School (when not on tour!) 

I have been singing and performing since I was a very young child. My friends, family and fans tell me I am not only a great singer but a great performer.  I will let you be the judge of that.  I have competed in my city "Idol" completions for the last 3 years. I have performed at various local  venues and love bring smiles to the faces of residents of the local retirement homes I have performed at.  I tried out to sing the National Anthem with the Utah Jazz and the Salt Lake Bees sports teams.  I recorded my first single at age 11 and released it on iTunes, Amazon Music, and several other online music stores in May of this year. I have received worldwide play on various streaming internet radio stations and I can truly say I have fans around the world. (isn't the internet and Facebook, super cool!) Like I said before my goal is to get into the recording studio and record and release a EP. As you might have guessed recording studio time, professional recording masters, musicians and my singing coach are very expensive especial for a soon to be 7th grader.  I feel with your help I can  get the ball rolling, get the momentum started. With my Dads help I have worked with some local recording studios on costs and found that my goal fund rasing amount would allow me to record a professional EP with live musicans. 

With your help I know I can raise the money necessary to get time in a professional recording studio with the  end result being a 4-6 song  EP.  I am hopeful to get into studio in the fall of this year (2015). 

With the help of my dad I have come up with a few incentives for those that donate at a certain level but any amount would be so greatly appreciated.  I really feel like this is a gift God gave me for a reason and I want to use this talent the best I can.  Thanks for taking time to check out my gofundme and thanks for anything you are able to give.  Alexa
