Lanae's Youth With A Mission Trip

This September I have been given the opportunity to partner with Youth With A Mission for five months of learning, growing, and deepening my faith. YWAM is a worldwide organization that works to go into all the world and make disciples for Christ. After a lot of prayer, I have chosen to do a Disciple Training School with a focus on Children at Risk in Madison, Wisconsin.
The Children at Risk Discipleship Training School will focus on the needs of children around the world and the issues that put them at risk — sex trafficking, poverty, AIDS, abuse, child soldiers, and broken families. We will also focus on the heart of God who promises to be a “Father to the fatherless, who sets the lonely in families.” (Psalm 68:5,6)
For three months, we will examine strategies to help these kids and pursue ways to assist poor communities around the world. And then we will go, spending two months overseas. Although we are not sure of our exact outreach location yet, past Children at Risk DTSes have gone to India, Thailand, Myanmar, Uganda and Kenya. On outreach, we will work with street kids, AIDS orphans, slum communities, sex slaves and refugees, as well as reach out to people of all ages through evangelism.
I spent this past year at Colorado Christian University learning so much about the God that I serve. During my months there God spoke heavily to me on the importance of evangelism, and spreading His love. More than anything, I desire for children all over the world to know that they are loved. I have spent a lot of time in prayer and meditation while deciding whether or not this DTS was the right way for me to go tell kids how much they are loved. God has been faithful in revealing himself to me during this decision process, and I am confident that He will remain faithful through the remainder of it as well.
My trip will begin September 20, 2015 and I will return home on March 5, 2016.
Total the cost of this trip will be between $6,500-$7,500. The lecture phase is $3700 and the cost for Outreach is $2800-$3800 (depending on location).
I am asking for you to consider partnering with me in three ways:
Prayer - This is honestly the most important of the three. I know God honors our prayers and I would love to have a team of people praying for me, the team I will be a part of and the people we will be coming alongside of. There is power in prayer, would you please consider being a part of my prayer team?
Encouragement - As I walk this journey of faith will you consider encouraging me along the way. Notes, phone calls, texts, emails and Facebook posts are all welcome.
Financial Support - Would you prayerfully consider a financial contribution. I have asked God to provide the entire amount. As I take this step of faith, would you consider taking it with me? I know God will provide.
As I am preparing even now for this trip, I am anticipating that God will stretch my faith and continue to transform me into the woman He wants me to be. I am completely relying on Him to make this trip a reality. I have served locally and now God has provided the oppurtunity to serve Him completely out of my comfort zone. I would love to have you as part of my ministry team.
