Yuki's Road To Recovery
Donation protected
On the early morning of May 16th, Yuki Iizuka, a former stand out lacrosse player from Orange County, along with four of his classmates from UCSD Medical School, were hit by a wrong-way DUI driver on a San Diego Freeway.
Madison Elizabeth Cornwell, 23, from Mission Viejo, and Anne Li Baldock, 24, of La Jolla were tragically killed in the collision.
Yuki was thrown from the vehicle and sustained terrible injuries, including a brain injury. He remained in a coma until two days ago. Now he and his family face a tremendous challege ahead. As you can imagine, his family has been by his side 24/7. They will never ask for help as they are incredibly proud, but they will be in need of financial assistance.
Yuki and his mother, Maki, established the CIF lacrosse program at Laguna Hills High School. Yuki played lacrosse for four years at Laguna Hills, and then 4 years at UC Berkeley. He has continued to play on a men's lacrosse club while attending Med school. His brother Kent was a standout player in Orange County while playing at St. Margaret's.
Please show your support and donate, even if a small amount, as it would really help the family to be there for Yuki.
