Have you ever gotten sick of being asked what you are you going to do with your life or what job you are going to take? I did. In today's society, graduating from college becomes a race to who gets a steady job first, who can claim they have the quickest job security. We have lost the experiential side of education. The independent traveling experiences that lead to perspective-changing and new creative ideas are no longer considered crucial to our learning process. The concepts of travel and "adventures" are considered irresponsible or a waste of time. I disagree. I believe Henry David Thoreau was on to something when he disappeared from society to Walden Pond and spent two years immersed in nature away from others.

Travel and simple living in a variety of environments strengthens character and the individual freedom and perspective needed for someone to live a fulfilled and positive life.

This summer, I am living on a thirty-foot sailboat named Eagle Wings with my friend and first mate Matt Cambria. I am exploring what it means to travel the ocean relying on the wind and solar power. I will be making my way down the east coast from Maine and all the way to the Bahamas. Currently, I am sailing off the coast of Maryland after surviving 12-foot waves, thunderstorms, uncharted wreckage, and other serious setbacks. I plan to write my first album along the way.

Huge thanks goes out to Andy Olsen who did all filming and production for our film.
