Scarlett's Ankle Fusion Surgerys

Donation protected
*UPDATE*
Hey Everyone.

So our original appeal (see below) has changed.

As some of you know, since we went back to Fitzpatricks for a re-assessment before doing spinal surgery they decided that was a secondary condition and what was primary was the ankles with severe Osteoarthritis.

Scarlett had an ankle fusion on her left leg, and is now due to go back on the 22nd July for her 4 week post op x-ray then be admitted soon after for an ankle fusion on the right leg.

All your donations so far went towards this Ankle fusion as well as all my savings.

Each Ankle fusion is costing around £3,500 so £7k total.
Originally we were covered to use the £5k allowance for her spinal operation (as this was already covered) and then the donations we received to cover the rest of the £7k spinal problem costs.

We have just got the news that the insurance wont be covering any of the Ankle condtions as they have linked it to previous clincal signs a few years ago when we were under a different policy.

We have and will again appeal this as its not right they are trying to put an early sympton as an excuse not to pay out now.

So when we now go back on the 22nd and if we get the all clear for the other ankle to go ahead, I really need to be able to have the funds in place to go ahead.
So I have amended the amount of this appeal to help again with more costs.

It kills me to ask, and we had some negative comments last time from people but I am not asking anyone to donate that doesnt want to.

I am using all my money, overdraft and as well as its very kind of people offering to lend me money, I don't have a spare penny each month right now after paying all my bills and expenses. I am self employed without a set wage and it goes up and down week by week.

Again Thank you to all that has already given generously and anything will really be appreciated.

Thanks

Anthony & Scarlett x

So this is a page I have set up to help get the rest of the funds for my Scarlett's spinal operation.

Scarlett was diagnosed with Lumbosacral Disease at the start of the year.

Since then she has been on restricted walks and on a course of epidurals directly into the spine to help the condition but sadly they are no longer working and the next step is surgery.

I do have insurance which renews each June. In the last 5 months we have used her full allowance for the past year on scans, x-rays and treatments.

We go back to the specialists(Fitzpatricks) on June 22nd where Scarlett will be assessed again, as she is getting worse, and will be admitted for surgery on that day or soon after.

Her insurance allowance would have re-newed again by then but even the full yearly amount of £5000 is not enough as the surgery is estimated at £7000 and I need help with the rest. I am putting all i have towards this, and if we were blessed enough to recieve the rest and have anything left over then we would donate this to a Rottie related charity, but we really need the funds in place for the 22nd June as I cannot put the surgery off any longer.

Here is a link to explain the disease in more detail as well as details of the surgery she needs:

Lumbosacral Distraction Stabilisation Surgery

Any donations would be so so appreciated and we thank you in advance.

Hugs from me and Scarlett. x
