Help Jason Laeha get back to work!

On Monday, June 2, 2015 at around midnight someone broke into a car in the Honolulu Zoo Parking lot. This is not uncommon in Waikiki. Theft and Vandalism are an unfortunate reality in Honolulu.

Thiefs, I would assume, don't think about who they are stealing from. They don't think about the impact they have on families, or their ability to support themselves. Some thieves, I would imagine, don't think much at all. In this case I wish that they had. They stole from my good friend.

Jason Laeha is a staple in the Honolulu community. He works harder than anyone I know. He has a beautiful humble home and family. He has an adorable daughter Juliana. He loves to play music and surf. He is not flashy; He lives within his means.  He is a true man of integrity. He has helped me more than I can write here.

This is the type of man that you should not steal from.

You might have seen him at Lulu's, Hula's, The Modern, Rumfire, or the Hilton LBLE. Perhaps he played at your wedding. Maybe you've seen him on the news. Odds are, you've probably heard him-- and you probably love him. We all do.

He lost ten thousand dollars worth of music equipment that night. This doesn't just hurt him and his family, it hurts the entire artistic community. We all want Jason back to full functionality as soon as possible.

To the readers: please consider donating what you can. Help Jason get back on his feet-- for all of our sake.

To Jason: You have an entire city behind you. We would do anything for you. We are going to get you back to work real soon my friend. Then, once you're back to normal, we can record that album we've been talking about!
