strangeness and breath at Videofag

Donation protected

"when the lamps cut his body becomes pure light" blending both the cerebral and the intensely physical, strangeness and breath submerges the audience in a sexual encounter between two young men. Identity, memory, truth: take your clothes off and it all comes spilling out.

Little Black Afro Theatre is mandated to produce stylistically diverse performance by connecting multidisciplinary artists with local charities. In three years we have become a home for dozens of theatre artists who are beginning to develop their careers. We are excited to be working with Epigraph Collective as we bring  Curtis te Brinke's play, 'strangeness and breath' to Videofag, a performance lab in Toronto's Kensington Market.

Ten percent of the box office will be going to support Youth Line, an organization that provides services for youth, by youth that affirms the experiences and aspirations of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, 2-spirited, queer and questioning youth in Ontario.

But before we get on the stage, we need your help! The money you are donating goes to pay for the performance venue, production materials and a small honourarium for each artist involved in the piece.

The show times are as follows:
Videofag - 187 Augusta Avenue
Tue Jun 30: 8pm Preview
Wed July 1: 2pm Preview, 8pm Opening
Thur July 2: 8pm Show
Fri July 3: 2pm and 8pm Shows
Sat July 4: 2pm and 8pm Shows
Sun July 5: 2pm Closing
