Here in the 21st century, we are plagued by the issue of human slavery. It affects each one of us, whether we know it or not. There are somewhere between 28 and 32 million victims in the world today.
In April 2015, I was staying in a safe house for prostituted women. Around midnight, the police brought 2 girls who had been rescued from the hands of traffickers. They were 15 and 18 years old and they had been sold for sex. As the mother of a 15 and an 18 year old, I knew that I had to do something.
The Provider is my first fictional novel and it comes out of 21 years of adventure in Eastern Europe.
Set in the Balkans and Central Europe, follow Ani, a Bulgarian Roma girl sold into slavery by her mother. Set aside your pre-conceived notions of poverty and culture and enter into a new world.
This is a journey of faith for me as I write this book and invite readers to enjoy the landscape of the Balkans, and enter into the hopelessness of human slavery. As I write and as you give, perhaps together we can be a voice for the voiceless.

After publishing costs, 1/2 of all donations, even if we go over the goal, will be given to two faith-based ministries affiliated with the Nazarene Church in Romania and Bulgaria that directly work to protect vulnerable girls.
