Surf and environment Project

Help me realise a dream of a lifetime, an ambiental  project ontheroad in Central America and way of promoting surf and respect for nature.



This Project "OLAS PARA TODOS" wants to reach small communites in Central America such as Costa Rica and Nicaragua, and show people the beauty of surfing and the knowledge of protecting the ocean and keep the beaches clean.

OUR VISION

Olas para todos wants to be a project can offer some surf lesson and some time in the water with children and people that has no accessibility to it, as well as creating some actions to protect the environment like the ocean and the beaches in order to make people more conscious about  this subject.


WE WOULD LIKE TO SPREAD THE AWARENESS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO KEEP THE BEACHES CLEAN AND WHAT ARE THE ACTIONS THAT EVERYBODY (CHILDREN AND ADULTS) CAN TAKE. HIGHLIGHT THE IMPORTANCE THAT ALSO ONE SMALL PLASTIC BAG THROWN IN THE BEACH AND IN THE OCEAN CAN DANGEROUSLY IMPACT THE NATURE.




HOW WE DO IT?

1. ACT DIRECT WITH SURFING ACTIVITIES

Create local projects in all communities we visit.
We will try to make local children enjoying some hours or some days in the water while teaching them some basicS of surfing.

With this part of the project we want to support young people, above all girls so  to help them reduce anxiety and improve confidence through surfing.
Surfing can help with self motivation and self confidence.







2. PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT

Educational part of the project about environment.
Before every surf lesson we will dedicate some time with the kids to share knowledge, experiences and games about the importance to respect the ocean and the beaches.
 
We have an educational program that we try to fit to all different ages and make them involved in the process in order to learn and spread the word.
 
Drawing, talking, creating and cleaning are some of the activity we do with the childrens on the beach or at school.
 
Lerning about reducing, reusing and recycling.
 

3. GREEN ACTIONS

With this part we would like to give more awareness and caring of the environment and the beaches.

We want to leave a visible sign in the villages that we visit with some environment consciousness signs around the place.

Some example of this part of the project and the most important ones are:

- leaving some big banner (eco friendly printed) around the beaches that explain about trash situation
- leaving some wood piece with some nice message like “keep it clean” “don't throw your trash, bring it home” and more on this type
-leave where it is possible some trash bin at the entrance of the beaches, nicely colorful. 
