Help for Sandra and her Family

Sandra was seriously injured in a hit and run accident on Thursday May 28th 2015 while stopped at a red light.  She was on the way to walk her beloved dogs, Sasha (Great Pyrenees) and Syressa (border collie terrier mix) at the canal when she was hit from behind at a high rate of speed. Both dogs were killed instantly upon impact. Sandra was air lifted to the Hamilton General Hospital with internal injuries as well as head and back trauma.  Sandra is currently in stable condition but has a long recovery ahead of her.

Sandra rescued Syressa in Feb of 2011 and Sasha in October of 2013. Sasha came from an abusive and neglectful owner and had to gain 30 lbs to bring her back up to a healthy weight as well as learning how to live indoors and trust again.

Sandra and Jack are loving parents to three wonderful children: Evan  (17), Aiden (11) and Sydney (8). 

For over 10 years Sandra has been a Support Worker at a group home for adults with disabilities.  

Due to the accident her family will have unexpected costs with transportation, daycare, and future medical expenses.  Although Sandra and Jack have an amazing support system and  they are doing the best they can any help during this difficult time will be appreciated. Thank you
