Edgar Surgery

Edgar was a member of Bay K9 Search and Recovery.  He was a 7.5 year old bloodhound that we had since he was 10 weeks old.  He was trained to find missing and lost people.  He participated in over 50 searches.  These included lost people, bank robbers, armed robbers and arsons.  May 20, 2015 he was diagnosed with a mass on his spleen.  May 21 he had surgery to remove the spleen.  The results were not good.  He had cancer through out his body.  He lost his battle May 28 and crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

He was a valuable asset to the community.  He participated in over 200 presentations and touched the lives of 1000's of people as an ambassador to the breed and Bay K9.

These donations will help defray some of the costs of the surgery and supportive care that he received.  

Bay K9 is a All Volunteer non-profit organization that provides these services free of charge to any law enforcement, fire department or other public organization.
