A Voice In Ramah for Women to heal

Donation protected
Sarah's sculpture, A Voice in Ramah, has haunted me for years. It calls to me. As she has told me, "I made the work because I had to, even though it cost me a lot."

I understand the feeling. You see, I do a work that I must, even though it costs me a lot.

How does my work mesh so well with Sarah's?

I'm here to set the captives free.

To get more specific, I'm a founding member of the LISTENconspiracy, I'm a board member of Aslan Christian Academy. We're building a 64-bed boarding school for girls ages 11-17, rescued from sex trafficking.

I'm also a community educator and activist fighting human trafficking, and a full-time pastor who facilitates healing individually and in group settings for survivors of abuse and assault.

I'm currently a full-time seminary student, working on my MA in counseling, and a mother of 6.

This anguish has to be addressed. These mourners must be comforted. These captives must be set free.

You can find the scripture references for this sculpture in Jeremiah 31:15 and Matthew 2:16-18.

You can find the real-life anguish all around you. You can probably find it in your own heart.

This anguish needs permission to come out. Sarah has created a work of art that evokes the deep pain of those who have lost someone or something so precious that they are undone.

Sarah needs to sell this piece. The women who come to me need to see this piece. They need permission to open up and wail. They need to know that their grief is welcome, here.

I am asking for your help. I do my work for free, and purchasing this incredible piece of art is outside of my abilities. Sarah has worked hard creating an inspired piece of art, and she deserves not only to be reimbursed for her materials, but paid for her labor.

The total price of the sculpture, with shipping is $7100. Together, we can make sure that Rachel's voice is heard by those who need to hear it most.

Every donation is welcome and appreciated. Thank you.

“A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.”
