CYHS Teen Improv in NYC!

In 2013, I started teaching improvisation using the UCB (Upright Citizens Brigade) method. Since that time, we have started our own Teen Improvisation team comprised of 28 students ages 14-17. In March, I decided to submit some of our members for consideration to perform in the Del Close Marathon 17 in NYC. The Del Close Marathon is a weekend long improvisation festival that celebrates improv and improvisers from all over the world (www.delclosemarathon.com)  

On May 5th, we found out that we had been accepted! After a series of intense auditions and workshops, we finalized a team of 17 (12 performers, 1 manager and 4 alternates) who earned the right to perform in this great festival. However, the logistical challenge of gettting 15 people to NYC from York, PA (4.5 hours) and back has led to some difficulty. We need your help! Help our CYHS Improv Team get to NYC for the Del Close Marathon on 6/26! Our team of 12 improvisers needs your support!

Any donation that you give will help to cover the cost of our travel and performance ticket admission.

Here is a breakdown of our costs:

Tickets to the Del Close Marathon:  $30x17=$510
Charter Bus from York,PA to NYC: $1865

Total:  $2375

How you can help:

$30 donation will pay for ONE student's entry into the event. 

$110 donation will pay for ONE student's transportation cost.  

All donors of $30 or more will receive a personal letter of thanks from the student that you have supported.
