AbodShelters is building a Micro Village in the US and Ty Pennington just signed on as the 1st celebrity brand ambassador. We are asking people to fund 7 houses to build the Micro Village. The is the first step to help us build the 100 home AbodShelters Village of the Future in Capetown.
The United Nations reports, 33% of the world’s people live in “shanty towns.” Children in these slums are growing up deeply affected by extreme poverty living in unsafe, unsanitary shacks because their forgotten families live on less than $1 a day. This is a crisis that affects everyone.
Abod is designed to deliver a better alternative to slums and homelessness. The award winning AbodShelters design is a unique, turnkey solution because it is assembled in a kit that can be built in a day. It was featured in TIME Magazine’s 2014 “Smart Home Edition.” BSB's efforts will mark the first community-building project of its kind. The 100 plus affordable home prototype installation is targeted for Cape Town, South Africa. The overall global aspiration includes helping US cities provide innovative housing solutions for the homeless, to get on their feet, as well as contribute to third world urban development.
BSB Design's humanitarian vision is to democratize housing for the world’s most needy populations. "There is an intensifying global housing crisis and we want to be part of the solution. That is why we created AbodShelters. We invested in developing, testing and manufacturing Abod applications to bring us to this point of offering "The AbodShelters Village of the Future", stated Doug Sharp, Chairman BSB Design, a leading US/International architectural and planning firm.
"Struggling families with children deserve a safer, healthier home environment. This motivated us to design a sustainable structure at a super affordable price that can be built much faster compared to conventional brick structures.”
We invite support from private and corporate sponsors to partner with us to achieve our goal of building this unique Village prototype including community services with healthcare, technology centers. We encourage socially conscious leaders and companies looking to participate with us.
