The Vidders Network is the largest online streaming network for vidders. Started in 2009 as a free network it almost ceased operations in 2010 when annual network costs were instituted. However, through the support of members it has continued as a valuable resource for educational instituations, scholarly journals and practioners of Vidding. There is almost nothing like it online when it comes to an indenpently run network for Vidders.
A curator for the Museum of the Moving Image and used the network as a resource in locating vidding artists to feature in the Museum's Exhibit on Vidding. (pictures below are from the actual exhibit)
This kind of recognition in a Museum focused on Media was an aknowledgement of the value of this artiistic expression.
The network is ever evolving and is looking to expand but needs your help. There are projects in the works that will help capitalize on its 5 year existence and continuing member growth. One of those projects is the launching of a new network called VidderTube.
