Since 1966, the Western Australia Police Pipe Band has proudly served the community and Police Service of Western Australia.
Band Officers performs dual roles for the agency by performing at 240 policing and community engagements each year, as well as providing direct support to Frontline services by working at local police stations and other specialist departments 2 days each week.
In addition to our ceremonial duties within WA Police, the pipe band also performs for many Government, Community and Charity organisations throughout WA, as well as running a highly successful youth community engagement program, performing at more than 40 primary schools and youth centres throughout the State each year.
The band is jointly funded by WA Police and the WA Police Pipe Band Supporters’ Association.
The Association needs to raise money to help ensure that the band can continue to travel around regional areas of WA and attend even more community engagements each year.
2016 is also the Band’s 50th Anniversary year and any additional money raised will allow us to represent Western Australia at the Australia and South Pacific Pipe Band Championships, which will be held in Sydney in October 2016.
With your help, we can try to return to WA as the Australian Grade 1 Champions for the third time in row.
