I finally had a moment to...
I finally had a moment to sit down and read some of the AMAZING comments regarding Steve.
I want to thank you all for your more than gracious donations.
Steve did not have a life insurance policy...this fund raiser will help us more than any of you could quite possibly understand.
I am thankful for each and every one of you!
HUGS!
Love,
MJ and Xander

Would you mind if I mentioned this to a devout group of bariatric/stapling community. Obesityhelp.com. It is an amazing group of people who have gone through similar procedures, problems, after effects and the like. It is filled with caring people. I ask only because Steve and I discussed this procedure many times at WNEW, even before he had it. I would like to be able to share not the tragedy, but the success of who Steve is. It is your decision and if you want, as I do not know much, please e-mail with anything you would like to say. Relatedly, even though we never met, I saw the picture of Steve on Facebook when we friended each other and was like, wow, this man is truly in love with this woman, big time. You do not see many men especially a mans man, like Steve, posting pictures of affection and love. It always made me smile. God Bless you and your family.

Steve was such a genuinely nice guy. That came thru when he was on the show. He could take such abuse from the guys, but took it all with grace and a lot of laughter. It is strange to feel sadness for someone you never met, but we all felt like we knew Steve, and loved the fact that he made us all laugh! God bless and rest in peace friend...

Listening to Opie and Anthony (as far back as the WNEW days) in my car has kept me from installing a machine gun on the roof of my car to annihilate any cars in front of me in God-awful Long Island traffic. Steve C definitely had a big part in my enjoyment of the O & A show. Cheers.

All of us in radio/tv share in a common bond, I hope Steve's son knows how great a guy his Dad was. Foundry provided all of us with tons of laughs and was truly innovative for its time. RIP Steve
